Emperor's Vineyards

ON-GOING PROJECTS

Replanting the famous Emperor’s Vineyards is the most important project successfully launched in 2004 by the company Vukoje Ltd. Some 10 km from Trebinje, where the Susica River flows into the Trebisnjica, the vineyard seems to be on a perfect site. At the end of the 19th century, Austro-Hungarian monarchy claimed this growing site to be the most suitable environment for zilavka, the most popular indigenous sort to Bosnia and Herzegovina and there they planted the world known Emperor’s Vineyards.  
Every single bottle produced at this estate was bound for Vienna court. What Hapsburgs, dukes, counts, princesses, princes, and all the crowned heads once drank, now after replanting the area with grape, all true lovers of divine drop will have a chance to drink. The first grapes are expected to be picked by the end of autumn, 2007.
